But it was in June when the couple made their relationship official on Instagram, after Teyana Taylor posted a heartfelt message on her account to celebrate Aaron Pierre's 31st birthday.

Her post came alongside photos of them together, one with the Mufasa star leaning his head on her shoulder. The Gonna Love Me hitmaker also threw a party for Pierre.

Aaron Pierre reciprocated the sweet gesture with an equally endearing response under Teyana Taylor's caption, writing:

At the BET Awards, the singer shared rare insight into her relationship with Complex, revealing:

"He's very gentle … It allows me to feel warm and to feel safe and not be in survival mode."

Last November, Teyana Taylor told The Hollywood Reporter that she calls her beau "my apple pie," adding:

"We are each other's safe space. If that's something that I decide to say, then it's going to be something that we say together."

The R&B star once again opened up about her relationship through an interview with Hot 97, where she confessed getting "all blushy" whenever her Pierre is brought up.
