Apart from his stellar discography, rapper Jack Harlow has been the source of several moments of hilarity on social media.
In the latest turn of events, the Set You Free artist shared a very specific text from his father. The message raised concerns about Harlow's ability to have children going forward if he decides to engage in certain lifestyle choices. This message incited a video response from Harlow, who was perturbed at the insinuation his dad put forward. He is seen asking,
"How bad you think I wanna have a kid?"
Jack Harlow’s response to his father’s message
This entire thread started when Harlow’s father shared an article with his son about the dangers of marijuana when it comes to sperm count. The New York Times article purported that recreational weed use could negatively affect male sperm and be a hindrance to pregnancies for users later in life.
Jack was clearly confused as to why his father shared such an unhinged story with him with absolutely no context and posted his entire reaction to his Instagram stories.
“For one I don’t smoke and for two okay God forbid my sperm get’s messed with. I mean, what’s the worst that could happen? I’m barren or infertile? Okay, I mean how bad you think I wanna have a kid? Might not be the worst thing in the world if my sperm get’s messed up. I might start smoking off of this alone.”
The artist’s response had social media users laughing as a result of having a general feeling most people have felt at one point or another paired with out-of-touch parents trying to give life advice to their kids. Although Jack was clearly having fun, he also addressed the fact that, despite their best efforts, the older generation is most often not in tune with the younger lot.
Jack Harlow’s Plans for 2025
As of April 5th, 2025, Jack Harlow has no upcoming concerts or tours listed on Ticketmaster or his official website. The Louisville, Kentucky rapper released "Just Us," featuring Doja Cat, on March 20, 2025, which is his most recent drop, and has enjoyed mostly positive reviews across the board.
The video, shot at the Horses restaurant in Los Angeles, features several known personalities apart from Jack and Doja, including John Mayer, Matt Damon, PinkPantheress, Nicholas Braun, Taylor Rooks, Malcolm Todd, DJ Drama, and more. It depicts the two artists dining separately while also sneaking off to find more intimate moments near the bar. Eventually, they escape to the kitchen to be away from the crowd.
