"He said the internet won't have a field day with him" - Netizens react as Usher refuses to feed a minor cherry at London concert

R&B legend Usher is on his Past Present Future Tour and he went viral for a moment that occurred when he was playing his cherry game. He was handing everyone cherries and engaging in conversation with them. When a girl told she was 19, he immediately backed up. This incident was caught on camera and a user commented:

"He said the internet won't have a field day with him."

While playing the Cherry game in London, the singer was going around and could be heard singing:

“Can I feed you a cherry?”

and he stopped in front of this girl and asked:

“How old did you say you were?”

After she said, something inaudible, he asked her:

“Did you say 16?”

The singer decided to not hand over the cherry after she revealed a minor. He said:

“Are you really 19? You sure? Are you sure you’re sure? Alright just to be safe, I’m not feeding you a cherry. I’m gonna let her feed you a cherry.”

After which he handed over the cherry to someone else to feed it to her.

This was caught on camera, after the clip went viral, the internet did have a field day but for a totally different reason.

A user had commented:

"IKTR!!! He said the internet won't have a field day with him"

To which more users joined in, another user who had chimed in wrote:

"Thank you, Usher for setting a good example" praising his quick judgement and maturity.

Another user commented:

"A whole conversation about age in the middle of a concert anything that end with "teen" is trouble, ask Robert."

This seemed to be a reference to the controversial musician R. Kelly, whose previous scandals have drawn much criticism.

Another user saw how obviously wary the singer seemed:

Usher's Cherry Game

It started out as all fun and games where Usher would walk around and feed ladies cherries or ask someone else to feed them but it has led to suggestive moments. According to Complex both Usher and his guard were disgusted with what a couple did after receiving the cherry.

This incident happened at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, when a man was given some cherries by Usher to eat with his companion, and the man decided to dry hump her by pushing back and forth and resting his legs on adjacent rails. The crowd started laughing at this but this incident left the R&B legend and his guard disgusted.
