Recently, Leonardo DiCaprio recounted a fond memory of getting starstruck to see Luke Perry in the newly released documentary I Am Luke Perry. He recalled meeting Perry on the set of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
With actress Margot Robbie and filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, the Titanic star shared his memories about interacting with the late actor on the popular 2019 film set.
"I was immediately struck by his kindness."
In this new documentary, Leonardo further added:
"Having been born and raised in Los Angeles, and worked in this industry my entire life, it has, in many ways, greatly shaped who I am."
Expressing his beloved thoughts of Meeting Perry during filming for Tarantino's Oscar-winning movie, he said,
"There was an immediate sense of excitement in seeing Luke Perry on set. It was incredible."

Per People Magazine, Dicaprio saw Perry when he was just a teen boy. Recounting those special moments, he shared,
"I remember being in my teens, and he was the manifestation of the new Dean on television, and everyone was crazy about him."
He further continued,
"I felt this overwhelming feeling of being starstruck. But then he and I got to sit down and talk about Los Angeles, the '90s, his life, where his career had gone, where my career had gone, where his life, my life (had gone). I was so, struck, how do I say this, by the kindness of his character, just an incredibly generous human being."
Leonardo was clearly amazed to meet Luke every time. On the red carpet of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood's premiere in 2019, he opened up about looking up to the later star after Beverly Hills, 90210.
"I grew up with him on 90210, looking up to him as literally the coolest dude on Earth, and honestly, when I was on set, I was starstruck."
Following Perry's unfortunate demise on March 4, 2019, he expressed his thoughts on the event's red carpet.
"We got to sit down and chat. He couldn’t have been a more amazing human being. It’s a real tragic loss."
