CinemaCon 2025 recently took place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The third day of the event showcased several major revelations and announcements of different films. This includes a teaser of Jurassic World Rebirth, How to Train Your Dragon, Wicked: For Good, Masters of the Universe, and M3GAN 2. Most of these films will be released in the theatre in 2025 or sometime in 2026.
All these films are from different genres and IPs. So, let's look into the details of five such announcements and what the makers actually revealed to the viewers who were in attendance.

5 announcements from CinemaCon 2025 Day 3
1) Jurassic World Rebirth—The makers dropped footage of the film at CinemaCon 2025. The video starts off with an alarm clock shutting down. We see that someone is trapped inside the lab with a mutated dinosaur. A T-Rex emerges as a voiceover tells us that several species have survived in this region. Universal Pictures will release it on July 2, 2025.
2) Wicked: For Good - Jon M. Chu, Ariana Grande, and Cynthia Erivo were present at the event as they released preview footage from the upcoming musical fantasy film. It featured Elphaba and Glinda along with Dorothy, the Tin Man, and other prominent characters from Oz. The film will hit the theaters on November 21, 2025.
3) Masters of the Universe - A sneak peek of this superhero film was revealed at CinemaCon 2025. It featured Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam Glenn (a character who eventually becomes He-Man). The reel mainly featured some BTS shots of the film; large castles were built in front of the green screens.
4) M3GAN 2—CinemaCon also witnessed the first look at the upcoming horror sci-fi film M3GAN. The storyline takes place two years after the first film and showcases a defense contractor using the same robot technology to build another one named Amelia. This Gerard Johnstone-directed film will be released on June 27, 2025.
5) How To Train Your Dragon—The upcoming live-action remake of the namesake animated flick was unveiled at CinemaCon. Several theater owners and journalists were shown an unfinished version of the film, which has reportedly received a positive response. It will be released on June 13, 2025.
