RAYE recently revealed in an exclusive chat with People magazine how her grandmother reacted to being featured on her latest hit song, "Where Is My Husband." The singer’s grandmother, Agatha, had her voice featured towards the end of the track in a spoken word, assuring the singer that her husband was coming, “Your husband is coming.

Speaking to the news outlet at Bloomingdale's N.Y.C. holiday window unveiling in partnership with Burberry on Wednesday, RAYE shared that Agatha wasn't too pleased with the feature.

“She was a bit upset at first because I caught her in her morning voice.”

She continued:

“She was like, Rachel, 'You should have let me redo it, you know, in the day,' and I'm like, 'Grandma, you sound great,' but no, she's very chuffed.”

The Oscar-winning Tears crooner shared that she believed it was really lovely to have her grandmother’s voice on the track.

“As much praise, adoration, light and anything great that I can bring and shine on her life, I'm gonna do basically that. She's literally my best friend. Shout out, Grandma Agatha. Love you.”

The lyrics of the song show the singer desperately longing for her husband. While speaking to British Vogue about the theme of the song, RAYE discussed her last bad breakup:

“My last devastating break-up was four, five years ago. I was like, 'I'm gonna marry him.' We [were] together for two years and it ended up not working out. I have never experienced a more crippling emotion. It took me three, four years to get over him. Like, I can't allow myself to fall in love again until it's safe.”

The chorus of the song reads:

“Baby (Woo-hoo), where the hell is my husband? (Woo-hoo)/ What is takin' him so long to find me? (Woo-hoo)/ Oh, baby, where the hell is my lover?/ Getting down with another? (Woo-hoo, yeah)/ Tell him if you see him, baby (Baby), if you see him, tell him (Tell him)/ He should holler.”
