As per Comingsoon.net, the official description of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Game reads:

"The game takes place against the backdrop of Gotham City, an open-world LEGO playground full of crimes to stop, puzzles to solve, rewards to collect, and surprises to discover around every corner, down every alleyway, and on every rooftop."

It continues:

"Players can grapple, glide, or drive through the environment, zipping from building to building with Batman’s grapple launcher, soaring over the city with the Batglider, or cruising around in style with a range of Batmobiles and Batcycles. The Batcave can also be customized to display vehicles, trophies, and collectibles, plus an assortment of wearable Batsuits based on past Batman related media."

The game is going to bring back numerous Batman characters that we have seen in the media, such as Catwoman, The Penguin, Jim Gordon, Ra’s al Ghul, and many others.

As mentioned above, the game will incorporate numerous popular moments from comics, shows, and films. For instance, you can notice that the trailer has shown two of the most popular movie scenes, such as the car chase between The Penguin and Batman from The Batman.

That’s not all, as the trailer also incorporates the famous monologue of Bane from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.

This is not the first time Batman has appeared in LEGO, as we have already seen the character in the LEGO version of console games. However, the story of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be an original story as it has combined all the stories that we have seen until now, and created a game that will become a fan favorite.

This new venture into the realm of Gotham with a game comes from Warner Bros. Games and TT Games. While a release date has not been revealed yet, it is confirmed that the game will be available from next year, in 2026.
