Is it love or just a scam? Fall for Me on Netflix wants to explore the same question with its new erotic thriller. It's a German-language movie, directed by Sherry Hormann, starring Svenja Jung and Theo Trebs as the two lovers at the centre of the story. Written by Stefanie Sycholt, the script tries to churn out meaning through its steamy romance.

It's yet another project on the streaming giant that is mainly about conventionally attractive people getting attracted to each other while gliding through some of the prettiest places. If that's your cup of tea, you might fall for its charm as Lilli falls insatiably for Tom's.
By the end of Fall for Me, Lilli and Valeria start a bed and breakfast business after getting back at Manu and Nick for their betrayal. However, Tom somehow stays in her life despite being involved in Girasol's con.
Why does Lilli fall in love with Tom?
Lilli (Svenja Jung) shows up at Mallorca to meet her sister, Valeria (Tijan Marei). It feels like a dream come true for the two women getting to spend some time together on the dreamy shores. Then, they meet Manu (Victor Meutelet), Valeria's partner, whom she has fallen head over heels for while living by the Spanish coasts.
Valeria seems to be blinded by her love for Manu to the point that she doesn't smell his fishy schemes, but Lilli does. Lilli is concerned about why Valeria would agree to sell their prized inheritance for a man she has known for little to no time. Does he mean well for Vale? Lilli doesn't think so, and it doesn't take her long to learn what's wrong.
As Lilli uncovers the truth, she bumps into Tom (Theo Trebs), a man who seemingly makes her fall for him. It happens overnight and in no time. As if that's not enough, Lilli finds another reason to be drawn to him. He seems well-meaning, at least at times, as opposed to Manu, or the people he works with on his elaborate cons in Fall for Me.
What happens to Lilli at the end of Fall for Me?
Lilli starts putting together the pieces of Manu's con to realize his connection with Nick (Thomas Kretschmann) and Girasol (Lucía Barrado). She also realizes that Tom is connected to this con. He seems innocent, but underneath the facade lies a man just as rotten as others.
As it turns out, Tom was hired as a man to lure women with wealth and possessions to profit from them. Manu was also part of the same scam. Somehow, Tom still walks on the other side of this betrayal, while Manu is brought to justice, and so is Nick and Girasol.
Over a year after Tom double-crosses his conmates, Lilli and Valeria start a B&B business that she had once thought of starting with Manu. They somehow turn it into a successful venture. Through this ending, the makers hope to present a win for these women against people who used their emotions against them.
