Blink Twice, starring Naomi Ackie and Channing Tatum is a gripping tale about lies, deception, and the consequences of unchecked power. The psychological thriller film, which arrived in theaters on August 23, 2024, follows a tech billionaire who invites a cocktail waitress to a lavish party on his private island.

But when mysterious things start to happen on the island, the waitress has to uncover a dark truth about the billionaire to save her life. The film ends on a confusing note that leaves the audience waiting for a post-credits scene in search of answers.

End-credits scenes have become fairly common in films these days, thanks to franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While some standalone films also feature additional footage after the credits, Blink Twice does away with a post-credits scene.

There is no post-credits scene in Blink Twice. The film neither features a mid-credits nor an end-credits sequence. The audience does not have to sit through the credits roll. However, it is still recommended to watch the credits to appreciate the hard work of all the people who have worked on the project.

The makers of Blink Twice did not feel the need to include additional footage after the credits roll because the film’s story is self-contained. It is not a part of any franchise and does not lead to any planned sequels or spin-offs.

Most films that feature post-credits scenes either do it for comic relief or to link it with other movies of the franchise. Blink Twice does not fall into any of these categories. As for the confusing ending, co-writer director Zoë Kravitz deliberately left some questions unanswered to spark conversations among the viewers.

Talking about the ending, the filmmaker said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly:

“There's a lot of open-ended questions that I hope spark conversations. Is this the beginning of something or is this the end of something? Is it the continuation of something? I think those are all up for debate, and I'm curious what that makes people feel.”
