Avengers: Doomsday is bringing together a lot of superheroes from the previous Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) phase. Besides that, there are also some superhero teams like the X-Men and the Fantastic Four who are coming together to face Doctor Doom. The film will release on December 18, 2026, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
In the recently released Thunderbolts*, we saw the character of Sentry, aka The Void. But I feel that if that character appears in the upcoming film, the makers should make one change with it to make it less faithful to the comic books. So let us take a look at it.
Avengers: Doomsday should make a chance in Sentry from Thunderbolts*
Sentry was the anti-hero in Thunderbolts*, and chances are that he might appear in the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday. The character of Bob was manipulated by Valetina to be converted into Sentry. But after he starts questioning her about his motives, she triggers the kill switch on him, and this turns into the Void.
I'm hoping that in Avengers: Doomsday, the character gets a makeover. In the previous film, his look aligned more with the comic book pages. The makers should pivot from that and give him a look that is more cinematic and suits the big screen. The character can let go of the Golden suit that feels a bit tacky, for something that is minimalistic. We can expect maybe a black suit that fits well with the overall tone of the film.

Anthony Russo spoke to Comicbook.com about the MCU.
“Yes, the MCU has got quite large, that’s for sure. I mean, frankly, we struggle with that same issue, but part of the reason Joe and I decided to go back is exactly what you’re talking about. There needs to be more of a central narrative. That was something we were very specific about when we worked with Marvel [before]. We would like to bring the focused narrative back.”
