Why I believe Days of Our Lives should take a chance on 'Bristen'

Days of our Lives' Brady Black has been trying to resist his pull to Kristen DiMera for years. Even when Rachel was conceived, Brady didn't even know that he was in bed with Kristen as she was wearing a Nicole mask. (Don't get us started on how he didn't notice this was not Nicole's body.) However, maybe it's time for Brady to give in again.

Even Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) has practically given up on Brady (Eric Martsolf) at this point, but that doesn't mean she doesn't still want him. Brady just knows that every time they are together, Kristen always does something underhanded and crazy, and he is tired of it. That doesn't mean his feelings for Kristen have disappeared. He just seems to be able to suppress them.

Maybe Brady should start to realize that none of his other relationships have worked out for a reason. Brady and Kristen constantly end up alone, with their daughter longing for them to be together. Perhaps Rachel (Alice Halsey) knows something her parents do not.

Brady and Kristen may seem like two complete opposites, but they are really two flawed and very lonely people who share a history and a child. Surprisingly, Kristen is even doing her best to be a decent mother, or at least as decent a mother as Kristen DiMera can be.

Brady can see this as we can see him looking at Kristen differently. Then, she says something very Kristen-like, and he is on the warpath again. Brady and Kristen can learn something from Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). She has come to accept that her husband is a shades-of-grey kinda guy and accepts him, knowing he can do something sinister at any time. If Brady just accepts who Kristen is, maybe they can be happy together.

The fact is, Stacy Haiduk and Eric Martsolf have an easy and natural chemistry. Their scenes are always a joy to watch, with Brady and Kristen just seeming to fit together. They still have a fan base after all these years, so maybe it's time that Days of our Lives gives this old pairing a new chance, making Rachel a very happy little girl, indeed.
