Now that Brady (Eric Martsolf) knows the truth about Sophia's (Rachel Boyd) baby, he rushes to tell Tate (Leo Howard) that Sophia had been fooling him all along. Not only did she not give birth in Chicago, but the baby she gave birth to in Salem was not his after all. This changes everything for Tate as he realizes he has to stop Holly (Ashley Puzemis) from leaving town.
Meanwhile, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) and Holly share a tearful goodbye before Holly attempts to get on a plane to France to be with her mother and brother. Holly hates leaving Salem behind, but feels this is the right move for her at the moment.
Too bad Tate doesn't feel the same, so he rushes to the airport and finds Holly just before she is ready to board. He tells her that he is not the father of Sophia's baby after all, so there is nothing to tie him to her. He also did not cheat on Holly with Sophia in his dorm room, even if Sophia wanted it to look that way.
Will Holly believe Tate or will she decide to fly off to France anyway? Surely, she will want to be the boy she loves and her best friend, right?
The problem with Rachel
Marlena (Deidre Hall) promised Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) she would look over Rachel (Alice Halsey) while Kristen was in prison. Now that Rachel lives with her permanently, that's not very hard. Marlena is one of the only people who know that Rachel is the one who shot EJ (Daniel Feurriegel), so she takes special care of the little girl.
On Monday, Marlena questions Rachel about Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) and everything else going on in her young life. Marlena doesn't want to rock the boat with Rachel, but she wonders if Rachel will ever remember the shooting on her own.
Will Marlena notice there may be something else on Rachel's mind stemming from her friendship with Thomas? Does Rachel even feel guilty for spilling the tea about Chad (Billy Flynn) and Cat (AnnaLynne McCord)?
