Days of Our Lives for the week of March 31, 2025, 2025

Marlena got the drop on Orpheus and handed him over to Andrew. While Andrew called into the ISA, Orpheus escaped his restraints. Orpheus held Andrew at gunpoint, and he threatened to kill Andrew. Paul burst into the room and shot Orpheus. Though alive, Orpheus refused to talk.

As Steve kicked in the door at the Estonian warehouse, a man shot someone that looked like John. Steve and Marlena were relieved to learn that the man was not John, but instead a nuclear scientist named Karl. Karl confirmed that John had been taken away with the nuclear device. Karl whispered the name Rosebud, and he died. During a search of the warehouse, Marlena found a piece of paper with Rosebud printed on it among a string of encrypted data.

Jada asked Belle to cozy up to EJ and wear a wire. Furious over EJ’s manipulation, Belle agreed to the operation. When Belle attempted to seduce EJ into a confession, he called her out, and she left. Kristen returned home and she demanded that EJ return her mother. EJ was frustrated after his encounter with Belle, and he screamed at Kristen to leave him alone. Kristen stepped into the foyer, and she pulled Rachel Blake’s gun out of her purse.

Belle confessed to Brady that she was worried that EJ was right about her attraction to him. Brady told Belle about his breakup. Both were relieved to hear that Marlena had found a lead, but they were upset to hear that John had been abducted.

JJ asked Shawn if he could live with the guilt of the secret affair with Jada. Shawn talked about wanting Jada to be happy, and JJ asked him if he had feelings for Jada. When Shawn told Jada that JJ knew, Jada decided to tell Rafe the truth.

Rafe planted a bug in the DiMera living room. EJ found Rafe in the house, so Rafe needled EJ about Johnny to distract him. When Rafe returned to the station, Jada told Rafe about her affair with Shawn. Rafe was livid, and he told Jada he did not think he could trust her again. Rafe asked for space to think.

In the Hernandez house, Gabi defended Jada to Rafe. Gabi blamed EJ for ruining Rafe’s relationship. When Gabi said she could kill EJ, Rafe warned Gabi not to say such things out loud.

Jada told Paulina about her affair with Shawn, but Paulina noted that it had been while Jada was suspended. Jada opened up to Paulina about her fight with Rafe. Paulina said that if someone killed EJ, they would be doing the world a favor.

Chanel confronted EJ about his inability to be a good person. EJ informed Chanel that Johnny had cut EJ out of his life. When Chanel returned home, she was dismayed that Johnny had not returned from the pub. Paulina promised Chanel that she would not let EJ ruin the adoption.

Ava packed her gun in her purse. As Ava rushed out of the pub, she ran past Johnny as he talked to Roman about EJ. When Roman mentioned how EJ had yelled at Kate, Johnny admitted that he had been tempted to stab EJ. While Roman was on the phone, Johnny retrieved Roman’s gun from the lockbox behind the bar. Outside the DiMera mansion, Ava pulled her gun out of her purse.

Rex was injured in a hit and run accident, and Kate told Roman that she thought EJ was to blame. JJ went to Gabi’s house to see her, but no one was home. Concerned, JJ returned to the police station and left a voicemail for Gabi.

As EJ talked to Stefano about being one step ahead, someone entered the living room and shot him. When Chad stopped by the mansion to talk to EJ about the article in the paper, he found EJ whimpering in a pool of blood. EJ was rushed to the hospital.

Ava ran into Kate on her way out of town. Ava explained that there was nothing left for her in Salem, and that she was headed for Hong Kong. When Ava admitted that Kristen and Rachel would get away with kidnapping, Kate reminded Ava that EJ would get away with it too. Ava hesitantly agreed. Ava ditched her gun in a trashcan in the park as she left Salem..

Cat and Kayla chatted at the hospital about the fundraiser. Cat promised that her main focus was to help the hospital, and not because of Chad. When Chad arrived at the hospital covered in EJ’s blood, Cat rushed to his side. Kayla worked on EJ in the ER. JJ questioned Chad about the shooting, but a traumatized Chad had no information about the assailant.

When Roman returned to the pub, he sent Kate upstairs. Alone, Roman returned his gun to the lockbox behind the bar. Johnny returned to the Carver-Price home, and he appeared distracted. Chad called and told Johnny that EJ had been shot. Chanel was stunned when Johnny was indifferent to the news about EJ’s shooting.

Kayla operated on EJ. As Chad sat at EJ’s bedside, EJ started to convulse. Kayla put EJ into a medically induced coma to aid his recovery. In the waiting area, Cat comforted Chad, and she warned him not to blame himself for the shooting.

When Rafe returned home with a six pack of beer, Javi asked what was wrong. Rafe told Javi about his fight with Jad and how she had cheated with Shawn. Javi advised Rafe to get over it and redirect his anger at EJ.

At the Small Bar off the square, Shawn located a drunk Jada. Jada told Shawn about her fight with Rafe, and that he had kicked her out of the house. Shawn told Jada about EJ’s shooting. Jada wanted to work, but Shawn advised Jada to sober up first. Shawn convinced Jada to sleep at his apartment. Shawn noticed that Jada’s gun was missing from her holster. An unsure Jada said she remembered she had locked it in her desk at work.

Leo ran into a frazzled Gabi in the square, and he told her about the shooting. Gabi commented that EJ had gotten what he deserved. Leo wanted to quote her for his story, but she convinced him to keep their conversation to himself since it would implicate her in the shooting. Leo told Javi about the conversation later when Javi had talked about Rafe’s suspicious behavior.

JJ questioned Kristen, but she said she had been upstairs in the shower and had not heard the shooting. When JJ caught up with Gabi in the square, he hesitated to give her any updates on EJ’s condition. At the DiMera mansion, Rafe crept into the house and retrieved the bug he had planted in the living room.
