3 BIG Days of our Lives Takeaways, March 7: Sudden surprises all over Salem

John's (Drake Hogestyn) disappearance has everyone panicked. When Steve (Stephen Nichols) dropped by Marlena's (Deidre Hall) office, she was glad to see a friend and stopped pretending to focus on work. Steve was just as alarmed as Marlena when she told him the news. Marlena was especially worried because Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) wasn't returning her phone calls. Steve and Marlena decided they would go to DC and talk to Shane in person.

Meanwhile, Brady (Eric Martsolf) tried to calm down a panicked Tate (Leo Howard). For some reason, Andrew decided to inform Tate that his grandfather was missing. Brady assured Tate that everyone was pulling together to find John and that he shouldn't worry. Just then, Theresa (Emily O'Brien) burst into the room and asked if she could join in on this family quest to find John. We guess her little jail stint is over...

Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) was surprised when Melinda (Tina Huang) informed her that her mother had caused some problems in her jail cell. She bit a fellow inmate who said something that displeased the woman in white. Still, Melinda managed to get her released into Kristen's custody.

When Kristen got Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle) home, Rachel continued to insist that Kristen and Brady belonged together. Kristen asked her mother to let that idea go, but Rachel had no such intention. Instead, she snuck out of the DiMera mansion and into Ava's (Tamara Braun) room above the Brady Pub, shocking Ava in the process.

Necklace found!

Doug III (Peyton Meyer) was thrilled when Leo (Greg Rikaart) told him that the fence found the woman who bought Julie's stolen necklace and had arranged for a meeting between her and Doug. When Doug arrived in Horton Square to meet the woman, he ran into Holly. Despite the bad news she received about Sophia (Rachel Boyd) and Tate's adoption plans, she was also glad to know Doug had some good news about the necklace.

Doug wasn't sure who he was looking for, but she found him. Melinda Trask was happy to talk to Doug while sporting a Horton family heirloom.
