Kate Mansi (Abigail Deveraux) made Days of our Lives' fans' dreams come true with her latest pic, which includes Matthew Ashford (Jack Deveraux) and the rest of her Salem family.
Summertime family reunions usually bring all kinds of awkward family photos, but the summertime snap of Days of our Lives' Deveraux family is anything but awkward. In fact, it's downright gorgeous.

Kate Mansi, who has reprised the role of Abigail Deveraux and began filming as her alter ego earlier this summer, took to Instagram with a photo that shows her Salem clan. The snap of the on-screen family includes Mansi, "mom" Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Horton), "brother" Casey Moss (J.J. Deveraux), and "dad" Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford).

While exciting in its own right, the Deveraux family photo is stirring up smiles also for the fact that it includes Ashford. His appearance in the photo seems to confirm the rumor that the actor has reprised his role as Abigail's dad. Rumors of Ashford's return to the canvas started circulating in June, but the NBC soap has yet to comment on whether or not he's back on the soap he originally joined in 1987.
There's no guarantee that Jack will actually be alive when he makes his Salem return, especially as his last three returns (when J.J. was contemplating suicide, when Abigail was locked in a mental institution, and when Jennifer battled a pill addiction) were all in spiritual form -- but even spirits need a little touch up from time to time. Ashford shared a photo of himself in what he calls the "beauty room" at DAYS.
Mansi starred on DAYS from 2011 to 2016. She recently reprised her role as Jennifer Horton's daughter for a short time due to current portrayer Marci Miller's decision to leave the NBC soap. At this time, it's unclear how long Mansi will be playing Abigail -- especially amidst rumors that the character's on-screen love, Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera), is exiting the series.
