It was a big week on The Bold and the Beautiful for Finn, Luna, and the Spencer family. Finn found out Luna is alive, and Bridget administered the paternity test to determine whether Will is the father of Luna's baby, as Luna claims.

But shouldn't Finn contact Steffy to alert her that the young woman who drugged her and locked her in a cage is still alive?

This week on The Bold and the Beautiful, Finn (Tanner Novlan) got the shock of his life when his murderous daughter, Luna (Lisa Yamada), showed up at his office out of the blue. Finn and everyone else in L.A. thought Luna died in the hospital months ago, and they were relieved. This is the girl who terrorized Finn's wife, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnnes Wood). Luna drugged Steffy, caged her, and left her to die in an apartment building that was set to be demolished.

Finn wants nothing to do with Luna, and all he wants to do is keep Steffy and their family safe from her. He wanted to turn her in to the police, but since Luna may be carrying Will Spencer's (Crew Morrow) baby, Bill and Katie (Don Diamont and Heather Tom) are keeping Luna in Bill's home until a paternity test is done.

Finn wasn't thrilled about that course of action, but hey, this is a soap. So we're trying to practice suspension of disbelief.

When is the right time for Finn to tell Steffy that Luna is alive?

Steffy is in Europe with her kids, Kelly and Hayes, recovering from the hell that Luna put her through. But they are coming home soon, so Finn has a huge decision to make. Should he call Steffy immediately to warn her that Luna didn't die after all, like everyone thought? That Li (Naomi Matsuda) saved her life? Or should he wait until Steffy comes home to break the bad news to her that Luna is alive -- and she isn't even in prison, where she belongs?

Finn is struggling to figure out what he should do. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) thinks they shouldn't tell Steffy until Luna is in police custody. Seriously, Ridge? That won't happen until the paternity test is done, or so we've been told.

The answer is simple, Finn. Call Steffy ASAP! That way, she won't come home thinking everything is back to normal, only to get hit with the horrible truth that will come down on her with the weight of a ton of bricks. He should prepare her by making her aware in advance. He has always said he doesn't want to keep secrets from his wife. So come on, Finn. Do the right thing here.

Why does Luna's fate hinge on the results of the paternity test?

On Friday's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Bridget (Ashley Jones) administered the paternity test. Thank goodness Bill and Katie sprung it on Luna at the last minute, so she couldn't pull a fast one on everyone and fiddle with the test.

But let's face it, Luna should be in police custody whether Will is the baby's father or not. Everyone knows her criminal history. Bill is being ridiculous by letting her stay at his mansion. Why do Bill and Katie coddle Luna just because she may be carrying a Spencer baby? She can have the baby behind bars. And if Finn wants to keep his marriage intact, he should call Steffy pronto and tell her Luna is alive. If he waits until she comes home to tell her, she will feel totally blindsided.

As ridiculous as Bill is acting, though, we have to give him props for telling Bridget, "Feel free to make (the paternity test) as painful as possible (on Luna)." Now that's the Dollar Bill we all love and miss!
