Outside the cabin, Brooke eavesdropped on Carter and Hope as they detailed the steps of the revenge plot to take over Forrester Creations. Carter acknowledged that Ridge and Steffy had no idea that they signed over the company to him. Brooke is stunned but slightly confused as they detail that if the papers are filed, then Forrester is theirs to run.
Carter noted that he felt an overwhelming sense of duty to protect Hope, but another part of him felt loyal to the Forresters. Carter fumed that Steffy had been preoccupied with getting rid of Hope. He thought her style of leadership destroyed trust and morale. They rehashed how ridiculous it was for Steffy and Ridge to think that Hope was throwing herself at Finn and lamented that Ridge wouldn’t go against Steffy.
Carter ranted about how Ridge trusted him to create an LLC. “And what did I do?” Carter said, mad at himself. Hope quickly reminded Carter how disregarded and disrespected Ridge had made him feel and added how she had been mistreated. Carter agreed but said he had a feeling in the pit of his stomach and called Ridge his closest friend.
Hope told Carter it was perfectly reasonable for him to feel guilty and claimed she was just as conflicted. “I wish we were never in this position to begin with,” Hope told him. “We did what we had to do, but can we make it official?” Carter asked. He noted it was their secret and wondered if they could go through with it.

Hope told Carter she knew he was risking everything for her and didn’t want him to feel pressured. Carter said he loved her and that if he did it, it would be for her, her mom, every underdog, and Logan, who needed a voice. “I can turn Forrester into a place where everyone can thrive,” Carter said. Hope kissed him passionately.
At Il Giardino, Electra and Will have lunch while Remy sits at the bar, drinking a beer and watching. He hears the two talking, and it’s obvious that they are attracted to one another. Remy doesn’t look pleased.
Will introduced Deacon to Electra, who clarified she didn’t consider herself one of the “fancy” Forresters. Will noted how busy the restaurant was and Deacon credited it to receiving a good review. Remy glared from the bar when Will told Electra that he wanted to know everything about her.
Will offered to tell Electra anything she wanted to know, although most of his family stuff was in the tabloids. He wanted to know everything possible about Electra, big and small. Will got called back to the office but said he would pay the bill on the way out. Will kissed Electra goodbye and left. Remy immediately rushed over to Electra. She looked up and saw him. “Remy?” she said, surprised. “Hi, Electra,” he said.
Electra jumped up and hugged Remy, and asked what he was doing there. Remy said he came to L.A. to make a fresh start and to see her.
In the CEO’s office, Ridge jokes to Taylor that they’ll get her an employee ID card as she’s there that often. He told her they should hire her as the company psychologist. Taylor noted that she enjoyed spending time with Steffy, even though she could be transparent about wanting them to reunite. “What? I hadn’t noticed,” Ridge quipped. Taylor said it doesn’t matter since he’s with his destiny, Brooke, and nothing could break them up.
Taylor updated Ridge that she was seeing a few clients and following up with Dr. Buckingham and Shandra. Ridge said he would keep on Taylor to ensure she took her condition seriously. Taylor empathized that Ridge felt caught in the middle between Brooke and Steffy over Hope’s firing.
Brooke came into the office and seemed to have something on her mind. Taylor offered to leave so they could talk. Brooke told Ridge she knew he was looking to restructure the company, but he clarified it was just an LLC for tax purposes. “I don’t remember telling you about that, but it’s fine,” Ridge said. “No, it’s not fine,” Brooke replied.
Brooke told Ridge there was something he needed to know. “Carter and Hope are involved,” Brooke told him. Ridge was surprised to learn they were in a relationship but thought it made everything else make sense as to why Carter had been pushing so hard to defend Hope.
Brooke said there was something else that Ridge needed to know. She explained that when Carter put his name on the paperwork, it was to take over Forrester. Ridge was in disbelief and noted that Carter was the company COO, their lawyer, and his best friend. He told Brooke he trusted Carter completely. Brooke told him that he shouldn’t as the LLC paperwork was a set up. “Carter pulled a coup!” Brooke exclaimed. She said what Carter did was horrible and her daughter was involved. “Now Carter has full control of Forrester Creations!” Brooke told Ridge.
