Finn (Tanner Novlan) is used to the women in his life telling him what to do and expecting him to obey, so it shouldn't come as any surprise when his mother has a few things to say about her brand-new granddaughter/niece. Li (Naomi Matsuda) doesn't care about Nozawa Power at this moment, because she knows that Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) is as crazy as Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown).
Li warns Finn he has to stay away from Luna. It doesn't matter that she is his daughter. She is a dangerous criminal who killed two men, locked his wife in a cage, and left her to die. Li also knows that Finn has a soft spot for the crazy ladies in his life and fears he will want to help Luna get back on her feet.
Finn has already promised Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that he won't see Luna, but Li doesn't think that's good enough. She needs to hear the words for herself. Luna can't be a part of their lives, or she'd bring Sheila with her. Will Finn heed his mother's warning, or is his heart with the daughter he never got to raise?
Celebrating Kelly
While Finn gets an earful from his mother, Finn's wife deals with a little girl who wants to go to the daddy-daughter dance and a daddy who is in the hospital following brain surgery.
Liam (Scott Clifron) is grateful to be getting the best medical care from Grace (Cassandra Creech) and Bridget (Ashley Jones), but he hasn't forgotten about Kelly (Sophia Paras) or the dance. As Steffy visits with Liam, the parents talk about how lucky they are to have such an amazing co-parenting relationship and a well-adjusted little girl. They might have had their share of marital troubles, but that didn't mean they couldn't come together for Kelly.
Now, Steffy fears for Liam's life, but she refuses to let him see how scared she is as they talk about Kelly and maybe think about the next dance. Surely, Liam will be there for the others.
