At the cliff house, Ivy slipped into the house and hid out of sight. Liam pushed Steffy off him and said she was still trouble. She chuckled that he'd liked that about her, and nibbling his ear, she uttered that "all of this" could be his. Liam replied that it wasn't that simple.

Steffy thought it was up to them -- unless Liam was no longer attracted to her. Liam told Steffy that she knew it wasn't an issue. Steffy said that if he wanted her, all he had to do was reach out. "No," Liam responded. Steffy bitterly chuckled and asked if he was actually "that" committed to Ivy.

Later, Ivy was still hiding in the foyer when Liam exited his bedroom, dressed for work. He hated to leave on Steffy, but he had to be going. Steffy said he barely knew Ivy, and Steffy doubted the relationship compared to what she'd had with Liam. Steffy said they had deep history. "And yet it wasn't enough to keep you," Liam responded.

Steffy admitted that she'd had to piece herself back together after losing the baby. She was ready to take on the world again -- but with Liam. She wanted them to pick up where they'd left off, and running Forrester would be a "hell of a ride." She said they'd do it as lovers or not at all; it was his call.

Liam stood by his relationship with Ivy. He believed that he and Steffy could work together as friends because they'd always be friends. Steffy knew that, but it wasn't enough for her at the moment. She wished her timing was better. Liam touched her forehead to his and said she was precious to him.

Steffy still needed to retrieve her bag from the beach. Liam hoped she'd reconsider the takeover. She replied that she'd keep it in mind, and Liam exited.

When Steffy returned from retrieving her bag, she saw Ivy in the living room. Steffy said she was just leaving. "How dare you come onto my boyfriend," Ivy replied. Ivy was outraged at her cousin being all over her boyfriend in a bikini. Steffy said to dial it back, but Ivy didn't intend to dial anything back. She said no one should have to watch Steffy on top of her boyfriend.

Steffy noted that Ivy had only been with Liam for a couple months. Ivy didn't think it mattered. What mattered was that Liam wasn't available anymore. Upset with herself for being excited to have her cousin in town, Ivy decided that if Steffy couldn't control herself around Liam, Steffy had to go.

Steffy told Ivy to get it straight -- Ivy was dating Liam, but Steffy and Liam had been married and had lost a child together. Steffy said that Ivy had no right to tell Steffy what to do with the history. Ivy cited that the key word was "history." Ivy stated that Steffy needed to respect that Liam and Ivy were the present. Ivy wouldn't tolerate what she'd seen that day, and she warned Steffy to back off.

At Forrester, Rick and Maya were still in awe of Eric's decision to leave Rick in control. Maya said that the era of Ridge was over, and Forrester was Rick's baby. "For the record, so am I," she added.

Rick invited an employee into the office, and the employee revealed that Eric was in a closed-door meeting with Ridge, Caroline, and other staff members. They thanked the employee for his loyalty, and once the employee had gone, Rick figured he needed to do something.

In Rick's old office, Eric explained to Ridge that Eric had given Rick his full support as the CEO and as his son. Ridge and Caroline didn't think it was fair for Eric to just listen to Rick, and she said it been hell to work for the company. Eric announced that he'd be happy to hear what anyone else had to say, and Ridge invited Aly, Oliver, Wyatt, and Pam in to say how they'd suffered under "little Napoleon."

Caroline wanted to go first because it was her fault that Rick was acting out. Pam didn't think Caroline should take the blame for Rick gorging on his little taste of power. Caroline explained that she'd been willing to work out the marital problems in private, but Rick had made it public. Further, Rick had made her question herself as a designer and had threatened to fire her at least twice a day. Her confidence would have disappeared had it not been for Ridge.

Aly chimed in, saying it was worse at home with her dictator boss and his full-of-herself girlfriend at the house. She thanked God that Eric would send them packing, but Eric stated that he would stay in the guesthouse while Rick and Maya remained at the main house.

Everyone was shocked to hear it, and Aly said Rick and Maya didn't deserve the mansion. Aly complained that Rick had made her fetch him ice cream. Eric asked why Aly hadn't refused, and she said he'd promised to look at her shoe designs. She recalled that she'd stood, humiliated, as they'd fed each other ice cream, purely for their own amusement, and Rick had totally ignored her designs.

Ridge urged Wyatt to speak next. Wyatt explained that he'd cleared his trip through Rick, but Rick had behaved as if Wyatt had disappeared on them and had taken advantage of Rick's generosity. Wyatt admitted that he'd quit over it, but after he'd thought better of quitting, Rick had instructed him to beg on his knees for the job. Wyatt claimed that Rick had thought it was funny.

Eric asked Oliver to weigh in, but Oliver said he was trying to keep his head down. Aly added that everyone walked on eggshells, trying to go unnoticed. Aly said Rick had noticed, and Oliver stated that Rick had given him a personal assignment -- to take pictures of Maya in Oliver's spare time with no compensation. Pam said the arrogance was jaw-dropping, and she complained about Rick removing the family matriarch's portrait off the wall.

Caroline asked everyone to remember that Rick had also shot a gun off in the building. Ridge asked why Eric kept rewarding bad behavior. Just then, Rick called Ridge. Ridge rasped that they were in a meeting. Rick stated that he was aware of that and ordered everyone to go across the hall to him.

Later, everyone in Rick's old office strode into the CEO's office, and Rick announced that there would be some changes. Ridge said the worse, the better. Aly was shocked when Rick green-lighted her shoe line. Rick apologized to Oliver for taking advantage of his time and talent.

Rick claimed the apology extended to everyone. He admitted that he had abused his authority; however, the team deserved better and would get better from then on out. He confessed to being inappropriate at home, too, and told Wyatt that he'd been wrong to put Wyatt through the paces when he'd known why Wyatt had been in Italy. Rick called Wyatt a valued member of the team.

Rick apologized to Pam for taking Stephanie's picture off the wall without warning her. It had been disrespectful of him. Pam noted that he was sorry for not warning her, but not sorry he'd done it. Rick claimed it was the best he could do then he turned to Caroline and Ridge, who he felt had faced the brunt of his tantrum.

Rick called Ridge and Caroline an amazing design team, and he felt lucky to have them. Caroline found the whole turnaround hard to believe, but Rick was up for proving himself. Eric stated that he was seeing the Eric Forrester Jr. who he wanted to see in the office. Ridge asserted that Rick had conned Eric before; Eric hadn't learned anything, and Rick was conning Eric again.

Ridge asked if any of them saw what was happening. He asked if Aly would be bought out by a shoe line that might not ever happen. Ridge complained that Rick had replaced the portrait of Ridge's mother with one of Maya. Rick claimed he could decorate his house as he saw fit. "It's not your house, Rick! You conned Dad out of it!" Ridge yelled.

Maya stepped forward to address Ridge. "Why are you speaking?" Ridge bellowed. Ridge asked Eric if he could see that it wasn't right. Aly still wasn't happy with how they'd been treated, but she suggested that they do what Eric wanted and give Rick the benefit of the doubt. Eric decided that his decision stood, and everyone needed to get back to work.

Everyone left, and Maya decided to follow up with Aly and Oliver. Maya saw it as an opening to reassure them about her. Rick called it a smart move. She stated that she was proud of him and left.

Ridge returned to let Rick know that he saw through Rick's smoke and mirrors. Rick was sorry Ridge felt that way and didn't want to "do this." Ridge said that they were doing it. Ridge saw Rick for who he was, someone unfit to run the company. "And I'm coming after you, and I'm going to take you down," Ridge warned.

At Forrester, Ridge advised Rick that his term as CEO would be short-lived. "Oh Ricky, I'm going to have to stop you," Ridge warned. Ridge wondered how many performances Rick had prepared for their dad. Rick maintained that he had backed up all his promises with profits. Ridge argued that the numbers were up because of Ridge and Caroline's designs.

Rick scoffed. His phone rang, and it was Maya. She asked when he would return home. Rick promised to be there soon. Ridge overheard the conversation and wondered if Rick had slept well knowing that Eric had moved into the guesthouse.

Rick replied that Eric had made that choice, and Rick proudly claimed that he and Maya didn't do a lot of sleeping in Eric's bedroom. Ridge said he couldn't wait until the day he could knock Maya and Rick off their perch. Ridge left, and Rick shook his head.

At Liam's, Ivy confronted Steffy. Ivy advised that Steffy was not welcome at Liam's house. Steffy scoffed that Ivy had no idea what Steffy and Liam had shared. "You don't know our history," she said.

Steffy explained that she and Liam had been together for years. Steffy maintained that they had been lovers, had been married, and had lost a child together. Ivy recalled that Liam and Steffy had had a connection, but it was in the past. Ivy also reminded Steffy that Ivy had stood up for Steffy in the past when people had trash-talked her lingerie line. "I defended you," Ivy said. Steffy nodded.

Ivy warned Steffy to back off. Steffy continued to defend her romance with Liam, and Steffy was convinced it would happen again. She reminded Ivy that she and Liam had been apart before but always find their way back to one another.

Ivy disagreed. "You're a memory -- a part of his past," Ivy said. Ivy added that Steffy had left Liam after she'd lost their baby. Ivy sympathized, but she noted that Steffy had left, and there were consequences for that. "I am the consequence," Ivy said.

Steffy said she didn't want to argue with Ivy. Steffy had spent years in love with Liam, while Ivy had been with Liam for only a few months. Steffy recalled that she and Liam had struggled through breakups, interferences, and more. Then, Steffy emotionally shared that she had ridden her motorcycle when she shouldn't have, "and I lost our baby," she said.

Steffy admitted that she'd been racked with guilt and had needed to get away, but she had returned. "I've been down this path, and you're merely a bump in the road. Nothing more," Steffy said. Ivy didn't back down. "Remember, I'm a Forrester, too, and I will fight for what's mine. Learn to respect that, or you're gonna regret that," Ivy said.

At Rick and Maya's, Maya welcomed Rick home. "I'm so proud of you," Maya said. Rick credited his dad, who had pulled through for him when he'd needed him most. Rick added that Ridge had confronted him about his position as CEO. Rick worried that there was a battle brewing at Forrester.

"Forget about Ridge. You're a leader. No one can touch you, Rick. It's your time," Maya crowed. "It's our time," Rick answered. He wanted to celebrate, but he wanted to change first. Maya promised to get the Champagne. Rick went upstairs.

Maya heard the doorbell, and her sister Nicole entered. "Hey, big sister," Nicole said. Maya looked uncomfortable. Nicole admired the painting of Maya on the wall and asked to meet her future husband. "Rick and I have plans. Let's make a date and do lunch," Maya said.

Nicole said that Maya was "so Hollywood." "Let's grab a bite," she said. Nicole added that she'd lost her apartment at UCLA and needed a place to stay. "How about a room at Hotel Forrester," Nicole asked.

Rick entered, and Maya introduced Nicole, who said she was a student at UCLA. Rick complimented her on her achievements at school. Nicole shared that she needed a place to stay because she had to get away from her roommate, and she couldn't sleep in the library all the time. Rick told her she could crash at the house anytime, but Maya said that Nicole was fine.

Nicole was in shock. Maya hustled her off to the door and promised to call her. Nicole looked sick.

Rick wondered why Maya didn't want Nicole to stay, and Maya said she wanted some alone time with Rick. "We're just getting started," Maya said. She added that they already had Ivy and Aly hanging around the house all the time. Rick said a full-time student at UCLA would hardly be hanging around.

Maya changed the subject to celebration, and they toasted with Champagne. Maya reminded Rick that his father loved him as the number one son. "I'm gonna prove to him that I'm the best CEO," Rick said.

At Forrester, Liam visited Ridge and said he had talked to Steffy. "Don't drag me into that drama," Ridge said. Liam confessed that he was committed to Ivy.

Liam confided in Ridge that he was worried that Forrester would soon implode. Ridge wondered why it would bother Liam. Liam said that Rick had treated Ivy and Caroline like slaves.

Ridge agreed. Liam confessed that he hadn't liked the idea of Ridge and Caroline at first, but he'd changed his mind. He didn't want Caroline to ever be near Rick again. Ridge said he loved Caroline and missed her when he was away from her for any length of time. Liam said he had a plan to take Rick down.

Ridge was mildly interested. Liam proposed that combining the shares of Steffy, Ridge, Thomas, and Bill could give them leverage for a hostile takeover. Ridge refused to partner with Bill. "I would be in control of his shares," Liam said.

Ridge was unconvinced. "I don't trust your father," Ridge said. Liam said that if he controlled the shares, he would not be doing his father's bidding, and he would be a silent partner at Forrester.

Liam worried that if they didn't stop Rick soon, everyone would leave, and Forrester would no longer be a family-owned company. Ridge agreed, but he noted that going against Rick meant he would have to betray his father. Liam sympathized, but he said they had to move fast.

At Forrester, Ridge and Steffy discussed that Liam had visited Ridge and shared his plan to take over the company. Ridge asked what Steffy thought. She admitted it was tempting. He added that it meant they would stab Eric in the back.

Steffy disagreed. Ridge reminded her that they would undermine Eric's authority and end his career. Steffy claimed that she and Liam would get back together. She was angry that Ivy had told her to back off. "We were married. We were gonna have a family. I lost everything -- my marriage, my baby,"Steffy wailed.

"You still love him," Ridge said. Steffy agreed. "And I want him back. This is my chance. Liam knows how good we are together. Ivy thinks she can replace me," Steffy said. She professed that she had lost Liam before and gotten him back.

Steffy said that Liam knew how much the company meant to her and Ridge. Steffy wanted the rush of going to work and being revved up about her job. She knew that wouldn't happen with Rick in charge.

Ridge realized it was more about Steffy and Liam. Ridge quizzed her about Eric. "I'm not the man's kid, and he was loyal to me," Ridge said. Steffy argued that Eric had changed his loyalty to Rick.

Ridge refused to trust the Spencers. Steffy said it was Liam, not Bill, they would be dealing with, and the Spencers already owned a part of the company and had for years. Steffy wanted to have papers drawn up that would make Liam a profit participant only.

Ridge said that Bill would never agree to that. Steffy reminded him they would not deal with Bill. She reminded her dad that they had to protect their own interests. They had taken control of Forrester before, and they could do it again. "We deserve this," she said. She insisted they should be running Forrester Creations, not Rick and Maya. "Maya and Rick have to go," she said.

At Liam's, Ivy entered and shared that she'd had a stressful day. Liam wondered if Rick had sent her on errands again. She explained that he had her getting lavish gifts for Maya.

Ivy added the gifts were not the source of her stress. She had seen Liam and Steffy earlier in the day. "She was on top of you, kissing your face off," Ivy said. Liam explained that he had turned Steffy down, and Ivy had already known that. Ivy also knew that Steffy wanted to run Forrester with Liam as a couple.

Ivy noted that Liam was very hard to get over. "Like the flu," Liam teased. Ivy maintained that Liam could have it all with Steffy. She was a Forrester. She was sexy, beautiful, powerful, and successful. Liam didn't want Ivy to worry about Steffy. Ivy wanted Steffy to get on a plane and return to Paris. "I know how much you love me, and after what I saw today, I have no doubt. She's not gonna get you back," Ivy said.

At Rick's, he and Maya drank Champagne, and Maya giggled that it was the middle of the day. Rick said he had a present for her. "Another present?" Maya asked. "This one is special -- as unique and precious as you are to me," Rick said. He held out a jewelry box.

Maya opened a box with a stunning diamond necklace. Rick crowed that it was the most expensive necklace Ivy had ever designed. He added that he appreciated her more every day. They discussed that Rick had given her many gifts, and Maya maintained that she was unaccustomed to the way they lived. She added that they needed to make stylish clothing for more than the blue-blooded clientele of Forrester. Rick agreed. "You are good for me in so many ways," Rick said.

Eric met with Brooke at Forrester, and he said he had total confidence in their son. "Forrester is in good hands," he said. Eric professed that when he'd made Rick CEO, it was the smartest business decision he had ever made.

Brooke wondered if Eric had heard everything. Eric said he had. He handed the profit reports to Brooke, and Brooke smiled. Brooke said she had some concerns about Rick's behavior. Eric agreed that Rick had made some decisions he didn't agree with.

Brooke was in awe, and she mentioned Rick had been dangerous with a gun. Eric said he knew Rick had been remorseful. "I do understand what drove him to it. I remember the feeling when Ridge took the woman I loved from me too," Eric said.

Brooke smiled. She worried about Rick and Maya, but Eric said they seemed to have a commitment to each other and the company. Eric added that they had the company moving in the right direction.

Brooke wondered why Eric had moved into the guesthouse, and Eric said it was fine for him. He said everything was moving forward, and there was reason to celebrate. Brooke agreed and wondered if the secret bottle of scotch was still in its hiding place. She found it, and Eric grabbed glasses.

Eric was happy to celebrate Rick's success with Rick's beautiful mother. Brooke smiled. They poured scotch and toasted to success.

At Rick's home, Maya marveled that Eric hadn't asked Rick to remove Maya's portrait. Maya thanked Rick for all his lovely gifts to her. They drank more Champagne. She had another idea to thank Rick for his gifts. "What goes better with diamonds than bubbles? Meet me upstairs," Maya cooed. Rick smiled.

Later, in the bathtub full of bubbles, Maya wore her necklace, and she and Rick toasted with Champagne. They recalled their first bubble bath together in the condo that Rick had bought for her.

Maya remembered they had plotted taking over Forrester together, and it had happened just like he had promised. She said she wanted to savor every moment and continue to have little celebrations together.

Rick agreed they would make the house Celebration Central. He was elated that Ridge no longer dominated the house or work. "I'm the number one son. My dad gave me this house and his support," he said. Rick claimed he felt invincible when he was with Maya. They kissed. Rick attributed all his success to Maya.

At the Aspen compound, Katie and Bill languished in bed on their honeymoon. Katie had a wedding gift that she kept forgetting to give Bill. She wasn't sure if he'd like the risk she'd taken with the gift but urged him to open it. He opened it and saw a new sword necklace like the one Ivy had designed for Liam. Katie said it was something new, like their new life.

Bill wasn't sure about the new necklace. The old one had been with him for his entire adult life, and it was part of who he was. He'd never taken it off, and its origin had no bearing on his attachment to it. Katie understood that it symbolized how he'd had to fight for everything in his life, but it also represented the past. The new necklace was his future.

Removing the old sword necklace from Bill's neck, Katie said the new union of Bill's family deserved something new. Katie put the new necklace on him, saying that it would grow in significance because it represented who he was at that time. She felt that he was stronger and better than ever before. Katie didn't want him to renounce his past, but to embrace his future.

Katie and Bill discussed the falling snow and how, as kids, Brooke had let Katie win at sledding. Katie was concerned about Brooke, who Katie hoped wasn't making bad choices due to loneliness.

Later, Bill was dressed. He reentered the bedroom to tell Katie something, but when he saw her in lingerie before the fireplace, he forgot what he was talking about. He readily removed his shirt to join her on the rug. Bill expressed his love for her, and he was grateful they'd reunited. He vowed that they'd be together forever, and the two began to make love.

At Quinn's loft, a breathless and red-faced Deacon hoisted himself up from the floor to halfway onto the kitchen counter. In his hand was a whisk, and he told Quinn that "that" was a new one. Sex had made Quinn hungry, and he offered to get takeout from Il Gardino. As he left, she told him not to be late, and he asked if she'd punish him. Quinn fiendishly replied that she'd do that either way.

Later, Quinn was setting the table when Wyatt arrived. He was checking on his mother after seeing her on Valentine's Day. He wanted to know if Deacon had made the holiday up to her after being with Brooke during it. Quinn was impressed that Wyatt was worried about her, but he cynically said he might be worried about Deacon because his mother didn't always do well with rejection.

Quinn said to not worry because Deacon treated her the way she wanted to be treated. She asked about Bill's wedding, and in discussing it, Wyatt remarked about Brooke's tipsiness. Quinn knew from Deacon that Brooke had been hitting the bottle and wondered what "that" was about.

Quinn was touched by Wyatt's concern but said Wyatt didn't have to worry about her because Deacon was a gentleman. Wyatt quipped that she'd have no interest in Deacon if that were true. Quinn said that when Wyatt had lost his child, Deacon had saved her from a bad place, and he'd been there for her ever since. She trusted Deacon.

Quinn was even thinking of beginning a business with Deacon, but Wyatt advised her to start a life -- with herself. He wanted happiness for his mother but didn't think Deacon could deliver. She said Deacon had done it thus far, but Wyatt was worried that she'd rely on a man for happiness. "He won't betray me. If he does --" Quinn began saying.

Wyatt cut in, saying the statement was just what he worried about. He didn't want Deacon to disappoint Quinn and wind up with a key missing body part. Wyatt didn't want her to go down a path like that. She was sure she wouldn't have to because Deacon wouldn't disappoint her.

At Forrester, Brooke and Eric toasted to their son's success. Brooke giggled, and Eric said he'd never tire of the sound of her laughter. She poured more scotch and toasted to Rick's parents. She tried to pour a third drink, but Eric said he still had a long day ahead of him. She offered to break for lunch at Il Gardino, but he was too busy to go. Brooke decided she'd go -- alone.

Eric hoped Brooke wouldn't drive, and she said she'd have a car take her. He asked if she was okay. She said she was glad things were stabilizing. Eric left, and she downed more scotch.

Later, Brooke was drinking at the restaurant when Deacon spotted her. She beckoned him to sit down and have a drink with her. Deacon sat down but said he was there to pick up takeout, and Quinn was waiting for him. Brooke was sure that was true and again tempted him to drink. He asked how many drinks she'd had, and she mentioned that she'd begun drinking with Eric.

Deacon asked if Brooke had driven there. "No, I was driven," Brooke quipped. His food arrived. He paid the server for it and for Brooke's drinks. He decided that they were leaving because he didn't trust drivers with drunk women. She protested, and Deacon struggled to lift her from her chair.

Brooke was flailing everywhere as she claimed she was just buzzed. She drew attention to herself when she knocked over glasses while picking up her purse, and Deacon hustled her out of there.

Later, Deacon stumbled with Brooke into her house. She danced around the room, ready for more drinks, but he wanted her to sober up and take a nap. Brooke decided to go upstairs. She was going to sober up but said Deacon would help her. She tripped on the way up the stairs, and shaking his head with exasperation, he warned her to be careful.

While Brooke was upstairs, Deacon saw a picture of her and Hope. He flashed back to past times with Brooke. Brooke arrived downstairs in a bathing suit and sarong. She wanted him to go swimming with her, but he said he couldn't be her drinking buddy or go swimming with her. He asked if she got that. Brooke claimed she didn't get it, but what she could get was another "drinkie."

Brooke swiveled on her heel to go to her bar, but Deacon whipped her around and kissed her. They pulled back and stared at each other in surprise.

In Aspen, the honeymooning Bill and Katie contemplated taking off for the Mediterranean. Katie decided against it and noted that the new sword charm looked good on Bill. He was still getting used to it. She remarked that the change made for one less connection to Quinn, and he guessed it was another of Katie's improvements. Katie quipped that it wasn't hard to improve from Quinn.

Katie mentioned that Bill hadn't been a fan of Liam switching his charm, and she was sure Quinn hated it. Bill didn't care what Quinn thought and remarked that Quinn had a new project -- Deacon. Katie hoped Deacon would stay away from Brooke.

Later, Bill caught Katie with her phone, which was against the honeymoon rules. He assumed Katie was trying to reach Brooke. Katie was worried about Brooke, who'd masked her sadness with a happy face at the wedding. Bill felt that Brooke would be fine and would never be a hermit.

Katie hoped Brooke was hanging out with the right people. Bill was sure Brooke was having a good time hanging out with Donna and Will. Katie believed that Will could cheer his aunt up. She hoped Brooke wasn't alone because bad things happened when Brooke was alone.

At Brooke house, Deacon kissed Brooke, and she realized, "You do want a dip in the pool!" They kissed more, and he asked himself what he was doing. Brooke told him to relax because it wasn't the first time he'd kissed her. Quinn's food was getting cold, so Deacon rushed to the door to get out of there. Brooke beckoned him back because they hadn't had a swim.

Deacon asked if Brooke saw what was going on. The inebriated Brooke said she saw that he was frustrated because he was living with a nutcase who treated him like a schoolboy late for dinner. Brooke poured drinks, but Deacon insisted he couldn't be partying with her.

Deacon asked if Brooke remembered what had transpired before she'd left town. She recalled that he'd proposed to her. He said he'd wanted to build a life with her but asked who'd known what "the hell" she'd wanted before taking off. Brooke asked if he wanted water in his scotch.

Deacon didn't know why he'd think Brooke would care about what he was saying because she'd made it pretty clear that she'd moved on. "Well, good. Glad that's resolved," she gaily replied, handing him a drink. Deacon said he wouldn't be her drinking buddy or pal because he was with Quinn. Brooke didn't want to hear about Quinn, who was crazy. "But whatever," Brooke said, shrugging.

Brooke advised Deacon to stop wearing his heart on his sleeve. It made him no fun. He said he couldn't do "this" again. Giggling, she asked if he meant he couldn't have a drink with an old friend. He asked if that was really how she thought he saw her. Spinning around, Brooke touted that what he saw was what he got. Deacon walked out on her, and she took another oblivious drink.

Brooke called Donna to invite her out dancing like they'd done when they were younger. Donna was babysitting Will. Brooke had forgotten that Donna was doing that. She asked Donna to kiss Will and said that she loved Donna very much. After the call, Brooke stared at the vodka bottle.

At Quinn's house, Wyatt tried to convince his mother to be leery of Deacon, who'd lead her into darkness. Wyatt didn't want her in a place like that again. Quinn assured her son that she wouldn't be. Wyatt reminded Quinn that Brooke was around. Quinn told her son that she trusted Deacon's reassurances about Brooke. Wyatt quipped that Deacon was just as trustworthy as the weatherman.

Quinn asked Wyatt to respect her choices. Wyatt didn't want to start in on her choices, and she exclaimed that Deacon was one of her good choices.

Quinn grew concerned about where Deacon was and sent him a message. After getting no reply from Deacon, she questioned Wyatt about Brooke's behavior at the wedding and if Brooke had been with Ridge. Wyatt said Ridge wasn't interested in Brooke, which made Brooke very available.

Wyatt reminded Quinn that Deacon and Brooke shared a history and daughter. Quinn quipped that she shared a child with Bill, but Bill hadn't given her a passing thought. Wyatt replied that Quinn had given Bill more than that before Deacon had arrived in her life. Wyatt claimed to know Brooke, whose daughter he'd been married to. "You still are," Quinn pointed out.

Wyatt shrugged it off and said he knew Brooke always had a man. Quinn stated that Brooke couldn't have Quinn's man, but Wyatt didn't think the choice was completely Quinn's. Quinn didn't believe Deacon would choose Brooke over her, and Quinn asserted that he got something from her that he couldn't get from Brooke. "And it behooves you not to ask what that is," Quinn added.

Quinn began to worry about Deacon, but he soon arrived and began to unpack the food. He apologized for being late, but someone at the restaurant had sidetracked him. Quinn asked who, and he revealed that it had been Brooke.

Deacon said Brooke had been wasted, and he'd had to get her out of the establishment. Quinn hoped Brooke hadn't puked in the cab, and Deacon revealed that he'd driven Brooke home. Wyatt was sure Deacon hadn't left Brooke on the doorstep. Deacon agreed that he hadn't. Wyatt asked if Deacon had taken her inside. Deacon said Brooke had needed to sober up.

Wyatt asked if Deacon had taken Brooke into bed. Offended, Deacon asked what that was supposed to mean. Wyatt reasoned that Deacon had had to do something and asked if Deacon had made coffee. Deacon decided it was time for Wyatt to leave, but Wyatt said he was just asking.

Quinn asked what had happened. Deacon revealed that Brooke had wanted to go swimming and to party. Quinn and Wyatt asked what Deacon had done, and Deacon said he'd tried to talk Brooke down from her partying and traipsing around in a swimsuit.

Deacon saw Quinn's disapproving gaze and excused himself to the bedroom. Quinn grabbed her keys and told Wyatt to tell Deacon that she'd be right back. When Deacon returned to the room, he asked where Quinn had gone. Wyatt rasped that she'd gone out, and Deacon asked where. Wyatt cynically asked Deacon where he thought Quinn had gone.

Deacon called and messaged Quinn, who wouldn't reply. He didn't know why Wyatt had let Quinn go, but Wyatt quipped that he wasn't Quinn's keeper. Deacon suspected that Wyatt wanted Quinn to get into it with Brooke, but Wyatt retorted that he wanted Quinn to get out of it with Deacon. Deacon claimed to be the best thing to ever happen to Quinn. "And that about sums up her life," Wyatt sadly replied.

Wyatt asked what exactly had happened at Brooke's house. Deacon was silent. Wyatt stated that he knew Deacon's history with Brooke, and Hope had said Deacon would always be vulnerable to Brooke and that the pair would reunite. Wyatt asked again what had happened at Brooke's.

Back at Brooke's house, the doorbell roused Brooke, who slinked to the door with a drink in hand. She opened it and saw Quinn, who, in Brooke's view, could use a drink. Quinn barged in and noted that Brooke was drinking alone. Intending to keep it that way, Brooke ordered Quinn to go. Quinn spied another glass and suspected that Brooke hadn't been drinking alone.

Quinn called Brooke pathetic in her bathing suit. "I can't wait for summer," Brooke slurred in response. Quinn asserted that "he" didn't want anything to do with Brooke. Brooke asked if Quinn meant Ridge, Bill, or Eric. Quinn's answer was all of the above plus another whom Brooke knew Quinn meant. Brooke said it was time for Quinn to leave.

Quinn smacked Brooke to the ground and ordered her to stay away from Deacon.
