Emmy winner Jacob Young launches YouTube channel, announces EP of new music

Jacob Young is releasing an EP of new music -- and launching his own virtual talk show. This is in addition to a film he is producing and some film projects he's recently wrapped.

Emmy winner Jacob Young (Rick Forrester; ex-JR Chandler, All My Children; ex-Lucky Spencer, General Hospital) continues to be one of the busiest soap stars around. While the actor has expressed disappointment in his diminished role on The Bold and the Beautiful, he's been going full throttle on his music career. Now, Young has announced that he's launched a YouTube channel, and he will be releasing an EP of new music later this month.

Young will release a self-titled extended play album on September 10. The release will be available "anywhere and everywhere you can and download music" including, but not limited to, Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, Google Play, and iTunes.

The album is not available for pre-orders, but the official release is only a few days away. If you can't wait that long, you can always give his most recent single "American Way" a spin on Amazon, iTunes/Apple Music, and Pandora.

A few weeks later, Young will launch his own talk show, of sorts.

"Hey everyone [I'm] excited to share my new venture," Young shared on Twitter in announcing the "LIVE weekly" YouTube channel called Daytime After Dark. The channel is not to be confused with the fan-created podcast of the same name.

Young says that the channel will launch on October 1, and it will be completely free to access. The channel will feature Young interviewing various daytime stars and, presumably, other personalities -- but don't take our word for it. Listen to Young explain what fans can expect in the YouTube video below.

As previously reported, Young is also producing a film called Mending the Line, described as a story about the destructive elements of war and the uplifting power of nature. Other projects Young has recently been working on include a film in which he plays a "super bad" character, a summer music tour with Mark Anthony Castrillion, and a film opposite his former AMC costar Alexa Havins (ex-Babe Carey). He also recently broke his foot, which didn't seem to slow him down for long!
