Congratulations are in order for The Bold and the Beautiful alum Jennifer Finnigan (ex-Bridget Forrester). The Canadian actress has been cast as the lead in CBS' upcoming straight-to-series summer suspense thriller Salvation.
Written by Necessary Roughness creators and executive producers Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro and based on a story by Matt Wheeler, Salvation centers on low-level Pentagon official and single mom Grace (Finnigan) after MIT grad student Liam and tech superstar Darius inform her that they've just discovered an asteroid that is six months away from colliding with Earth. Grace's life is set spinning when she's brought into the government's secret task to save humanity and isn't allowed to tell her family and loved ones the horror the world is facing.
