The Bold and the Beautiful is recasting the role of Ridge "RJ" Forrester, Jr. The character was born on-screen in June 2004, and has been played by a dozen youngsters since then.
Now that Ridge Forrester is headed back to The Bold and the Beautiful, the show is also looking to bring back the character's son, Ridge "RJ" Forrester, Jr.
The casting call for RJ seeks a young Caucasian male around ten years old who is "[g]ood with dialogue." The role is recurring.
Though there are reports that the character will be "aged," the change in age won't be anything nearly as dramatic as some of B&B's other youngsters. RJ was born on-screen in June 2004, which would make him just over nine years old. As reported by Soap Central last month, The Bold and the Beautiful has hired All My Children and One Life to Live veteran Thorsten Kaye to take over the role of Ridge. The role was played by Ronn Moss for 25 years. Moss opted to exit the role in 2012.
