It's been four years since Don Diamont joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful. Now, the actor has made a decision about his future with the CBS soap.
The Bold and the Beautiful will not have to worry about being a day late or a dollar short: "Dollar" Bill Spencer will be sticking around for the foreseeable future. Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) has confirmed that he's signed a new contract with the world's most-watched soap.
"I am so very happy to have re-signed and to be here at B&B," Diamont told Soap Opera Digest. "I have the best boss in the world and I work with the best cast and crew one could ever hope for."
Diamont joined The Bold and the Beautiful in 2009 after a lengthy run on the show's sister soap, The Young and the Restless. Diamont joined Y&R in 1984 and remained a central player on the show through 1995, when the actor took a three-year break from the show. During that daytime hiatus, Diamont completed several feature films before returning to Genoa City in June 1998. The Young and the Restless viewers were stunned when, late last year, it was announced that Diamont would be leaving the show that he'd called home for nearly 25 years.
Upon signing Diamont in 2009, B&B's executive producer and head writer, Bradley P. Bell, said, "Don is a versatile actor with a vast range of talent. It is my pleasure to welcome him to B&B."
In 1990, People magazine named Diamont one of their 50 Most Beautiful People In The World.
