Moss, who is still recuperating from a recent car accident, could not be reached for comment. The actor did make several marks on social media. To read those comments, click here.

"Ronn has spent an amazing 25 years with B&B," a spokesperson for The Bold and the Beautiful said in a statement. "We will always consider him family, and we wish him only the best in all of his future endeavors."

With Moss out, that will leave Susan Flannery (Stephanie Forrester), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan), and John McCook (Eric Forrester) as the only cast members who have been with the show since its debut in March 1987.

On Twitter, Lang replied to a fan's disappointment with the news by saying, "I am crying, too! I hate this!"

"Hope U got my message: Had no idea this was coming," Hunter Tylo (Taylor Forrester) remarked on Twitter. "You know I wish you & your family the best in this world and eternity. Will miss U."

Moss will shoot his final scenes for The Bold and the Beautiful on August 14, according to EW. Those scenes will air Friday, September 14.
