For more than a year, B&B fans have been wondering if Marcus Walton's dad would be coming to town. Every few months, rumors have surfaced that he would -- but those rumors never panned out. Now, it looks as if Jerry Walton really is headed to Los Angeles.
It's been rumored for a while, but it looks as if The Bold and the Beautiful is finally moving forward with its long overdue plans to bring some of Marcus' other family members to the show.
The show has apparently already begun looking for actors to play Marcus' father, Jerry Walton. Though the show will not confirm if it's holding readings for the role, it hasn't stopped speculation about which actors might land the part.
TVGuide Canada's Nelson Branco is actively lobbying for Emmy winner Shemar Moore (ex-Malcolm Winters, The Young and the Restless) or Ral Andrews (ex-Marcus Taggert, General Hospital; ex-Walker Daniels, As the World Turns). Fans also have wish lists of their own, with some hoping for Mario Van Peebles (ex-Samuel Woods, All My Children) or Nathan Purdee (ex-Hank Gannon, One Life to Live).
Meanwhile, B&B fans are hoping that any additional Waltons will boost the on-screen time for actor Texas Battle, who debuted as Marcus in May 2008.
