No Y&R -- or B&B -- for Adrienne Frantz

There appears to be no truth to the rumor making the rounds that Emmy winner Adrienne Frantz (Amber Moore) will be joining the cast of The Young and the Restless later this year.

According to the rumor, Frantz landed the role of Jennifer Foster. Jennifer is Jill Abbott's niece, by adoption. It's been well over a decade -- 13 years to be exact -- since Jennifer was last seen. And when she was, she was portrayed by twin infants Erin and Ramona Richter.

"I was not cast as Jill's niece," Frantz said in a statement. "I love Y&R and everyone on it, but my heart is with B&B and playing Amber."

Frantz, a Daytime Emmy winner in 2001 for Outstanding Younger Actress, took a temporary hiatus from The Bold and the Beautiful earlier this year to focus her attention on her burgeoning music career. The actress insists that she will return, and B&B's head writer and executive producer, Bradley Bell, has also repeatedly expressed his desire to weave Amber back into the show's canvas. At present, though, Bell has nothing immediate planned for Frantz or her on-screen alter ego.
